Family Fun Night

Kid's Hope

The Need:

All children face challenges, but some hurdles are bigger than others, and sometimes kids need a little extra support to build resilience and hope.

Our local elementary school needs people willing to build positive, caring, one-on-one relationships with students, to walk alongside them as friends and cheerleaders.

The Opportunity:

Kids Hope USA mentors (supported by behind-the-scenes prayer partners) spend one hour per week talking, reading, playing, and listening to a child at school. Research shows that by helping a child feel loved and valued, the child can better learn, grow, and succeed.

Join The Movement:

Will you be that someone who shows up once a week to share unconditional love with a child?

Mentor Qualifications:

Consistently visit one student for one hour each week during the school day.
Commit to maintaining confidentiality and following program rules.
Attend our church regularly.
Successfully complete the screening and training process.

Prayer Partner Qualifications:

Believe in the power of prayer.
Faithfully pray for a mentor and student each week.
Contact the mentor on a regular basis for prayer requests.

For those interested, Pastor Tom will hold a short 10 minute talk after Sunday Service church services to talk to you about it in more detail.

Program Startup

Do you feel lead to start a program to help the community? Fill out the form below to let us know what program you have a passion for and would like to begin to help the community. Once the form is submitted we will reach out to you about starting up the program.

Technology Team

We are inviting those interested in joining our Technology Team. This team works directly with the Music Team and the Pastor for our Sunday services.

There are three sections within the Technology Team:

Soundboard / Microphone and Instrumental Audio: Do you have experience working with soundboard and live audio? Audio quality for our Music Team and Sunday services is important, if you are confident in this, this role is for you. We request that you join the Music Team on Fridays at 4 PM and on Sunday at 9 AM before the service for practice.
Music Lyric Presentation: This role consists of using our presentation program to show the lyrics to the music we sing on our Sunday services. You will have to be able to stay with the music and change the slides as needed. You may have to create the slides with the lyrics if they aren’t in the program already. We request that you join the Music Team on Fridays at 4 PM and on Sunday at 9 AM before the service for practice.
Livestreaming: We livestream our Sunday service on Facebook and Youtube. If you have experience with livestreaming and would like to assist, this role is for you.

Family Ministry

We are looking for a Family Ministry Leader and team members. If you would like to join the team, fill out the form below and Way of Christ Church will reach out to you.

Duties needed within our Family Ministry:

Recruit team members
Coordinate and schedule quarterly fellowship and recreation events for our church body
Coordinate special events as needed
Work with Children’s Lead to coordinate annual VBS

Maintenance Team

We are looking for more team members for our maintenance team. If you would like to join the team, fill out the form below and the Maintenance Team Leader will be in contact with you.

Duties needed within our Maintenance Team:

Recruit team members
Interact with Trustees as needed to communicate and facilitate building and ground maintenance requirements
Work with the Administrative Board to communicate expense requirements and approvals for necessary repairs and maintenance
Schedule work as needed

Hospitality Team

Recruit team members
Schedule and coordinate coffee and snacks for fellowship following services
Coordinate monthly communion elements

Children's Ministry

We are looking for more team members for our Children’s Ministry. If you would like to join the team, fill out the form below and the Children’s Ministry Leader will be in contact with you.

Duties needed within our Children’s Ministry:

Recruit and properly vet prospective team members (all volunteers must clear a background check and training, which will be provided)
Coordinate and schedule people for weekly Sunday services
Work closely with Pastor and Justin Morrell on teaching material
Work with Family Ministry to coordinate and execute annual VBS

Ushers/Greeters Ministry

We are looking for more team members for our Usher/Greeter Ministry. If you would like to join the team, fill out the form below and the Usher/Greeter Ministry Leader will be in contact with you.

Duties needed within our Usher/Greeter Ministry:

Recruit team members
Ushers and Greeters scheduled for weekly Sunday Worship services

Prayer Team

We are looking for more team members for our Prayer Ministry. If you would like to join the team, fill out the form below and the Prayer Ministry Leader will be in contact with you.

Duties needed within our Prayer Ministry:

Recruit team members
Meet with team as needed to pray for the church body’s needs
Monitor prayer box requests
Communicate urgent prayer requests to church body as needed

Music Ministry

We are inviting those interested in joining our Music Team. Both instrumentalists and vocalists are needed.

Rehearsals are Fridays at 4 PM. We meet Sunday mornings before service at 9 AM to run through the music.

Membership Class

For those who are followers of the Lord and interested in going through our membership class and becoming a member of Way of Christ Church, fill out the form below and Pastor Tom will be in contact with you.

Water Baptism

If you are a follower of the Lord and want to be baptized, fill out the form below and our Pastor will be in contact.

When enough are signed up Pastor Tom will schedule a class for you to attend before the baptism.
